I was so happy to visit @TheSweetLobby again during my recent stay in D.C. The Sweet Lobby was one of my first macaron experience spots, where I tasted these delectable goodies last year!
This time I wanted to visit The Sweet Lobby because I heard that they recently won The Cupcake Wars. I tried two cupcakes, Chocolate Caramel Crunch and Chocolate Hazelnut. I will blog about these cupcakes in a later post. But I had to get a box of macarons with my cupcakes because that is how much I love macarons from The Sweet Lobby!
Below are my thoughts of the macarons I tried this trip (pictured above, from left to right):
~PBnJ: Literally a miniature, homemade peanut butter and jelly sandwich, except this sandwich is very decadent! You can see the layers of peanut butter cream and real jelly in between the macaron shells. I bought two PBnJ macarons because they are so delicious!
~Green Tea: Smooth & slightly sweetened, just how I like my cup of green tea!
~Creole Cacao: Spicy chocolate, but not too spicy like the Red Hot Chili Chocolate macaron available at The Sweet Lobby.
~Guava: Tasted just like a ripe guava fruit. I admired the pink & cream contrasting macaron shell colors!
~Vanilla Violet: Very fragrant that I felt like I was smelling flowers through my mouth? I know that sounded weird, but if you inhale while the macaron is in your mouth, you can smell the violet flowers! I actually enjoyed this macaron!

Stay tuned for my recap of the cupcakes I tried from The Sweet Lobby!
